Last week, Italy announced that it is closing all of its schools and universities until March 15 to contain Europe’s worst COVID-19 outbreak. The infographic below shows how close to 300 million children around the world have been impacted by country-wide school closure.

The Nigerian secondary school with the biggest impact

Last December, the Institute of African intelligence named Barewa College  Zaria as the secondary school that has impacted Nigeria the most. The school has produced 5 Presidents, 20 Governors & Ministers in the last 60 years.

Your students will become better readers with the SQ3R strategy
In last week’s publication by TeachThought, Dartmouth University found that students delve more deeply into a text when the SQ3R strategy is applied compared to merely reading or even reading and responding. This strategy requires setting a purpose for the reading, asking questions, taking notes, and reviewing both notes and text in relation to one another.
